What the work actually looks like
Most agency case studies show you a chart going up and ask you to trust the arrow. Ours show the diagnosis, the measurements either side of it, and the things that are still broken. That is a harder document to write and a more useful one to read.
Western Sport
A firearms and tactical retailer whose organic traffic halved in a single month. We traced the causes through the cache layer, the structured data, the catalogue taxonomy and the nightly inventory sync — and then tested whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini would name the store at all.
- URLs earning search impressions went from roughly 1,000 to 8,351
- Average position improved from 21.8 to 13.5 year over year
- Cached pages now answer in 0.20–0.55 seconds
- Named by all three AI engines on the core buying question
Why this one is first
Western Sport is a property we own and operate. We are publishing it because it is the one engagement where we can show everything — server, database, source code, cache layers and the measurements either side — without a confidentiality boundary in the way.
That has a cost and a benefit, and we would rather name both. The cost is that no client chose us, paid us and stayed, so it proves capability rather than client satisfaction. The benefit is that every claim in it can be checked. The site is live. You can run the tests yourself.
No unnamed “leading manufacturer.” No percentage lifts with the baseline left off. No results claimed from changes that shipped nine days earlier — we measured those, they were inconclusive, and the case study says so.
Client work stays private unless we are asked
We work with manufacturers whose competitors read the same trade press they do. Nothing about a client engagement — name, sector, figures or identifying detail — appears anywhere on this site without written permission. If you would rather never appear in a case study, that is the default, and it costs you nothing.
